Pregnancy

During pregnancy, your feet become pronated as your body becomes heavier, and your back carries a lot of extra stress. As a result, sciatica which is already present may cause additional pains in the feet or legs, or over- pronation may start to cause other biomechanical problems in the knee and back, related to posture. It is recommended that pregnant women should wear properly fitting shoes with a prescribed orthosis to reduce pronation by podiatrist if required.
